URBAN DESIGN & PLACEMAKING

University campus In UGANDA.
 

The teams largest project todate wwhich has been underway for three years, working directly with King Oyo to design and build a 200 acre site for 600 students and staff with teaching, living and recretaional spaces. The CIRCLE the first of several global campuses modeld on Kate Rayworths Donought Economic principal, from where the team took its design lead.

The team created this office building for German Client IVG going beyond Leed

The result of a intense analise of location within its urban context, street structure, wind directions, sunlight underground water streams, existing buildings, usage
of land and details.

Smart private health and fitness complex.  

 

Urban layout and multi-purpose buildings: Administration, Education, health services & sport.
Theme embraced an artificial  

water circuit for astetics, heating an cooling the different buildings.
The Client’s build brief required circa. 40% more land than available, so the design team used underground space for functions that did not require daylight.

Urban Tetrus.


A challenging project for the JOT team on how to connect numerious points of different hights to allow pedestrians, trams, busses and tube all to be accessible within a very tight space constraint.

Add to the brief: retail with shops and cafés and place the whole multi layer geometric design in a beautiful urban  palcemaking theme for locals to to come togther in a pleasant urban envinronment for a 365 day all weather site.

Part of a British Colombia, Provincancial  wide  smart city stratgy, JOT were ask to develope a smart transportation along the shores of False Creek to Granvill Island. The sloution incororated anold rail track, existing boat system and build ito the solution re purposing of the road network, lighting, fast charging and bike routes and Autonimious vehicles.​
